Hi, I’m Tehvon Fowler-Chapman.
I started tfChapman because I’ve been on a crusade against anecdotal information as a primary source of information in nonprofits for the last seven years. Why?
Anecdotal data is… well, anecdotal. It’s unreliable, isn’t investigative, and can be based on perception instead of research. And due to the strain on time and resources in nonprofits, it sometimes becomes your only source of information. This can lead to uninformed decision making, strategy, and policies that cripple organizations.
It also can be a driver for one of the most infamous lines to be heard in the nonprofit sector: “this is the way we’ve always done it”.
tfChapman was created with the goal of helping you move away from the harmful anecdotes and towards data-based progress in your organization. tfChapman gives you insights on your organization’s performance through analyzing what’s going on at your organization. Through data visualizations, performance dashboards, and data management, I’ll give you a deeper understanding of your data, helping you implement strategy that will drive financial sustainability and amplify impact.
